Tourism Nova Scotia is thrilled to host Destination Canada’s GoMedia Canada Marketplace 2017 in Halifax, October 1-5.
GoMedia is a signature networking event bringing together top media and travel journalists from across Canada and around the world to meet with marketing and communications professionals from various tourism organizations across Canada. Media attendees include domestic and international applicants representing top-tier print, broadcast, radio and online outlets. Internationally, media are invited from the US, UK, Germany, France, Australia, Japan, South Korea, China, Mexico, Brazil and India. Travel industry experts include Provincial, Territorial and Destination Marketing Organizations, tourism operators and attractions.
We need your help in hosting this event! While our guests may not be able to explore all of Nova Scotia while they are here for such a short time, we are looking for unique “Made in Nova Scotia” items to share with them to serve as take home memories of their time spent here. We don’t want you to give away your product, we are asking you to gift-away it into the hands of dozens of top-tier international media and Canadian travel experts.
Here’s two ways to get involved:
25 Delegate Gifts
Each participant at GoMedia will receive a gift from Nova Scotia that they can take home as a memory of their time here. Nova Scotia Tourism operators, producers, suppliers, artisans, and crafters who can provide 25 pieces of the same item with wholesale value of $25-30. These pieces should be relatively small and easy to travel with (ie. fit in a carry-on bag), be non-perishable and made of/with Nova Scotia materials and should be unisex in nature. We are looking for a least 12 suppliers to provide a total of 300 delegate gifts. An information sheet will be added to your delegate gift package about your operation and/or your product, sharing the story behind your creation so the Go Media delegate can become more intimate with you and your product and its connection to Nova Scotia.
Go Media Canada Award Gift Sponsors
Each year, Destination Canada celebrates the best in travel and tourism storytelling by presenting the Explore Canada Awards of Excellence to celebrate stellar content creation from the tourism industry and travel media.
We are looking for a Nova Scotian artisan (or seven individual artists) to contribute seven unique and authentic award gifts with a retail value of $750 - $1000. Ideally, the gift would reflect our culture and history and provide a rich Nova Scotia storytelling experience.
As proud champions of the successful artists, the artisan(s) will receive recognition during the awards presentation with verbal acknowledgement of the gift, recognition on signage, including digital displays and a one-page information sheet for the award recipient telling the story behind your Nova Scotia inspired gift or operation.
