Interested in seeing your location on the big screen? Screen Nova Scotia is promoting a property registration program for property owners to list their properties as potential filming locations for the consideration of local, national and international producers. The Starring Your Property program allows owners to include their home or business as a potential filming location for feature films, television series, music videos, and commercials. The database currently lists over 1000 properties, but with the recent announcement of the new Distant Location Incentive, which incentivizes film producers to expand their projects into rural areas, Screen Nova Scotia is especially interested in registering properties from outside of the HRM to the database.
