Presented by Destination Canada and held annually in different Canadian cities, GoMedia Canada 2017 will bring together pre-qualified travel media writers and travel journalists from across Canada and around the world, all eager to tell the best tourism stories in the most engaging way.
Nova Scotia was chosen to host this signature networking event for the Canadian tourism industry. GoMedia Canada Marketplace 2017 will be in Halifax September 30 – October 5, 2017. The Marketplace will take place at The Cunard Centre with official host accommodations at The Westin Nova Scotian hotel.
GoMedia Canada Marketplace has become the prime Canadian media event to attend. Expected attendance of up to 300: 150 industry participants, 130 national and international media and Destination Canada’s in-market representatives.
The marketplace offers delegates one-on-one appointments where media are paired with travel industry experts to uncover Canadian stories from coast to coast. Media and partners will also get to sample the best of Halifax and the province through a selection of daily, pre- and post-event tours with itineraries designed to showcase Nova Scotia communities and experiences around the province.
"Travel media plays a critical role in tourism marketing", said Michele Saran, CEO, Tourism Nova Scotia, “Being able to experience a destination firsthand and have access to broadcast-quality video, images and information will result in positive stories. Our goal is to increase consumer awareness of Nova Scotia as a travel destination by interacting and engaging with travel media – so we are thrilled to host this event”.
